Structure and Configuration
The basic structure of the Edit Portals largely corresponds to that of the Search Portals:
- Faceted search on the left side
- Free-text search, with optional selection of search fields at the top
- Display of results in the central area
- This display exists in four variants: GRID, LIST, TABLE, FLEXIBLE
- Product detail view
- Functions such as comparison list, download list, etc.

The key difference is the “Edit” toggle (slider named “Edit”) in the upper right area. Once this is activated, data can be modified. Note the following:
- The fields that can be edited are defined when creating the portal (via the “EDIT” or “MULTIEDIT” attribute).
*The editing method depends on the field type:
- Text fields
- Numeric values
- Single-select
- Multi-select
- References
- Changes can be made directly in the portal, or applied via the flexible Excel export-import process.
When the “Edit” toggle is activated, the display of field contents changes from a non-editable text block to an input field appropriate to the field type. Input can in fact be done in the three views (LIST, TABLE, FLEXIBLE). The following figures show the Edit toggle activated in LIST and TABLE views.

If you want to change data for a single product, go to the detail view (by clicking the [i] icon). In this view, you can modify all editable fields for that product.
In the following illustration, the field types and their editing interfaces are clearly distinguishable:

- (1) : Text field
- (2) : Single-select
- (3) : Multi-select
- (4) : Workflow — this is a special field type that identifies the product’s status
- Workflow statuses can only be changed according to the pre-defined workflow configuration
- (5) : Non-editable field (in this case an ID field)
