Targets and usage
With the help of ADIB, you can create many different portals for different target groups and with different focuses
- Portals for your customers, who gain easy access to your products (a kind of digital product catalogue)
- Often, different portals are created for different product ranges
- You can also create customer-specific portals so that users can see the products they can order
- Portals for your suppliers, who can store specific technical data or prices
- Portals for your employees, where they can store personnel data
- Edit portals where product data can be maintained – either by employees or by external agencies (e.g. translation agencies)
The advantage of the portal station is that it is ONE central application through which users from different target groups (customers/employees/partners) can connect. This access can be achieved through several authentication methods
- Local user management via the central station (see below)
- Central user management (e.g. via Microsoft ActiveDirectory) and access via methods such as OAuth or SAML2
After successfully logging in – e.g. with a username and password – the user only sees the portals to which you have granted them access. You can also mark certain portals as ‘open’. All users who call up the URL for your portal station have access to these portals.
