Basics of ADIB-configuration

"Conigon ADIB" (Application and Data Integration Bus or just "ADIB") is a flexible, easy-to-use enterprise-service-bus ("ESB") which offers outstanding functionalities. The great advantage of ADIB is that you do not need an IT expert or developer to use it - the configuration is really easy! And besides the known functions of other ESB, you can create web-portals based on your data from a click on a button. Companies that use Contentserv (PIM or DAM) will benefit from modules that are tailored to create their data model in Contentserv, import data from their ERP-system into their PIM and then export it to their website or shop-system.

The next chapter will list the categories and the modules in detail.

System architecture

ADIB consists of two separate entities that communicate via web-services:

  • CentralStation
  • IntegrationClient

We investigated a lot to develop this architecture with a clear focus on data security

  • CONIGON will not save the data you are exchanging between your applications
  • CONIGON will even not get in touch (i.e. during data transfer) with any of your data

This means that all your data will remain in your hands during the whole process - we just facilitate data exchange as well as data visualization through our ADIB modules!

ADIB CentralStation

ADIB CentralStation ("CEST") is the platform on which you do the configuration. It is an easy-to-use web-application which is hosted by CONIGON and where you log in using the credentials you received with your licence.

More information about CEST will be found in the next chapter.

ADIB IntegrationClient

ADIB IntegrationClient ("IC") ensures the high performance exchange of data between the configured source and destination(s). It is optimised for performance - and just receives the tasks from the CentralStation.

There are two ways to host the IntegrationClient

  • Hosted on your network
    • This is the preferred solution - as CONIGON will not have access to any of your data!
    • If you use ADIB to exchange personal data of your customers or employees this is the most secure solution

ADIB on-premise

  • Hosted by CONIGON
    • If your focus is to exchange data between your cloud solutions this approach makes the most sense
    • Another use case could be the exchange of data that you want to publish (i.e. product data from your internal PIM to your website)
